Bulgarian Posts Plc through its branch network offers its clients electronic vignettes
An electronic vignette may be purchased up to 30 days before the initial validity date. When purchasing an electronic vignette, the owner or user of the vehicle has to declare its registration number.
In connection with an amendment to the Road Act of 19.03.2021, an electronic vignette purchased with incorrect data may be corrected. A correction is made only if it is established beyond any doubt that in the Republic of Bulgariathere is noregistered vehicle with a registration number, country of registration or category identical to those originally declared in the vignette.
- In case of incorrect data entered for the vehicle upon purchasing an electronic vignette, a client may submit An application for change of incorrectly declared data by the owner or user.
- The completed application is sent to the Road Infrastructure Agency, National Toll Authority at the following e-mail address: [email protected].

No invoice can be issued for a sold vignette.
On the basis of the Value Added Tax (VAT) Act, tolls (e-vignette and toll) are a state fee for which no VAT is charged. A receipt, not a fiscal receipt, is issued for all state fees. The receipt constitutes a document within the meaning of Article 3(1) of the Electronic Document and Electronic Certification Services Act. The receipt contains the data entered by the user/owner - vehicle registration number, expiry date, start date of validity, vignette ID number and vehicle category.
Vehicle categories
Category 3 - Vehicles intended for the carriage of passengers, with no more than 8 (eight) seats, road vehicles intended for the carriage of goods, and/or road vehicles intended for the carriage of passengers and goods, incl. with a trailer, with a technically permissible maximum mass of not more than 3.5 tonnes, as well as the off-road vehicles of this group.
Category 3 Trailer/Caravan - An electronic vignette is purchased separately for a trailer/caravan of a motor car with a gross combined weight of the vehicle and the trailer/caravan > 3.5 tonnes
